HazardCue Traveling Instructor — Complete CDL Training

Online theory + traveling behind-the-wheel training. First-Time Class A and Class B-to-A Upgrade programs are available with automatic or manual-transmission training.

HazardCue travels to the company, approved private/home location, or other approved training site. The customer supplies the compliant commercial vehicle. HazardCue brings the instructor and all curriculum books, training guides, checklists, evaluation sheets, and training supplies.

Complete packages include the applicable ELDT theory course and final assessment, Hazmat (H) ELDT theory and final assessment, plus Tanker (N) DMV knowledge-test prep and practice questions.

Choose Your Individual ELDT Theory Class

FMCSA ELDT-Compliant Curriculum. HazardCue's curriculum is built to meet the applicable Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration Entry-Level Driver Training requirements under 49 CFR Part 380. Each selected course page shows the federally required theory topics covered. Tap “View Required ELDT Curriculum & Course Contents” to review them before purchasing.

A commercial learner's permit (CLP) is not required to purchase or complete HazardCue online ELDT theory. Use your current Driver's License, CLP, or CDL information exactly as it appears on the credential. A valid CLP is required before applicable behind-the-wheel training.

One-time course purchase. After Stripe confirms payment, the student is redirected to the HazardCue student setup page. After the setup form is submitted, HazardCue reviews it and emails the correct course access information.

Company Group Theory Purchase — 3+ Students

Choose one theory course and purchase the exact number of student seats needed. After Stripe confirms payment, the company completes the HazardCue company setup page. HazardCue then emails the company one group enrollment code tied to that course and the exact number of seats purchased, along with the separate student enrollment page. Each student uses that same company code once to create their own private course record. When all purchased seats have been claimed, the company code stops accepting new students.

Minimum purchase is 3 students. Applicable tax is calculated at Stripe checkout.

HazardCue Owner Course Preview

Private owner-only preview. This does not use a student seat, does not count toward a student record, and does not submit an FMCSA completion.

Owner review mode: Open any full theory course, play the narrated lessons, read every transcript, and inspect the complete final assessment with the correct answers shown for review.

Student Course Access

Individual students: enter your private student access code. Company group students: use the shared company group code on the Group Student Enrollment page; your individual course record opens automatically after you enter your student information.

Choose how you learn: Use Watch & Listen for a narrated visual lesson, or open the Readable Transcript. Complete every required lesson before the final assessment unlocks.

Final Theory Assessment

You must earn at least 80%. Questions use real-world driving and hazmat scenarios rather than simple recall. Answer every question, then submit your assessment.

Completion and FMCSA Record

Passing the theory assessment creates a HazardCue completion record. HazardCue must review the record and submit the official training certification to the FMCSA Training Provider Registry. A Class A or B-to-A theory completion does not replace required behind-the-wheel training.
