The yearly refresher for workers who already hold HAZWOPER training. Eight modules of narrated video review the subjects that keep you alive on a hazardous waste site — the rules, the chemicals, the monitoring, the protective equipment, decontamination, and emergency response — and prove your skills are still sharp.
The refresher requirement is in paragraph (e)(8) of the OSHA HAZWOPER standard, 29 CFR 1910.120: refresher training every year, so competencies stay current. This course reviews — it does not replace initial training. Take it online, at your own pace, on a phone, tablet, or computer — your progress saves as you go.
The HAZWOPER rules, your rights on a covered site, and recognizing hazards before work starts.
How chemicals get into the body, the exposure limits that protect you, and what overexposure does.
Labels, the nine pictograms, and the 16-section safety data sheet — your right to know and to understand.
Evaluating a site before entry, the instruments that watch the air, and turning readings into decisions.
The four protection levels, how a level is chosen and defended, and the respirator rules that keep air safe to breathe.
The decontamination corridor that keeps contamination from following you home, and the medical surveillance that watches workers over time.
Drum handling, spill response, fire and reactivity, confined spaces, lockout/tagout, electrical hazards, and heat and cold stress.
The emergency response plan, incident command, and the three work zones that control a site.

This is HazardCue LLC's own annual refresher course for the refresher subjects in paragraph (e)(8) of OSHA standard 29 CFR 1910.120. It is for workers who already hold HAZWOPER initial training — it does not replace the 40-hour or 24-hour initial courses, and it is not an OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 card course. Students who pass earn a HazardCue LLC Certificate of Completion. Questions? Email support@hazardcuewvcdltraining.com.
