The rules that decide who goes into a tank, vault, pit, or silo — and who comes back out. Eight modules of narrated video teach OSHA's permit-required confined spaces standards, 29 CFR 1910.146 for general industry and Subpart AA of 29 CFR 1926 for construction: what makes a space permit-required, the entry permit, the entrant, attendant, and entry supervisor roles, atmospheric testing, ventilation and isolation, and rescue that actually works.
Confined spaces are everywhere work gets done — tanks, vaults, pits, silos, sewers, and vessels — and the standards require the people who enter them, watch over them, and sign their permits to be trained. This course teaches the knowledge half of that training completely: the definitions, the permit system, the roles, the testing, and the rescue duties. The hands-on half — using the meters, harnesses, and retrieval gear, and running practice rescues — happens with your employer, on real equipment. Take the course online, at your own pace, on a phone, tablet, or computer — your progress saves as you go.
The three-part test for a confined space, and the four triggers that make one permit-required.
The employer's written program, the pre-entry evaluation, and the entry permit completed before anyone goes in.
Who does what on an entry team: the person who goes in, the person who stays out, and the person who signs.
The air hazards you cannot see or smell, and the testing order — oxygen, flammables, then toxics — before and during entry.
Solids and liquids that can bury or drown, shapes that trap, and every other serious hazard the rules count.
Clean-air ventilation, blanking and blocking, lockout, and proving the space safe before and during entry.
Non-entry retrieval first, how a rescue service is evaluated, the yearly practice rescue, and why would-be rescuers become victims.
The two narrow exceptions, how a permit space gets reclassified, and what host and contractor employers owe each other.

This is HazardCue LLC's own Confined Space course, covering OSHA's permit-required confined spaces standards, 29 CFR 1910.146 (general industry) and 29 CFR 1926 Subpart AA (construction). It teaches the knowledge the standards require — the hands-on training (atmospheric testing with your employer's meters, harness and retrieval equipment, and practice rescues in representative spaces) is done with your employer on real equipment, and this course does not replace it. It is not an OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 card course. Students who pass earn a HazardCue LLC Certificate of Completion. Questions? Email support@hazardcuewvcdltraining.com.
